At Dharma Co, we firmly believe in giving back since the word itself loosely means upholding duties and responsibilities in accordance to our lives. Thus, we made it our mission to support those who are less fortunate to afford proper eye examinations and eyeglasses by teaming up with Optometry Giving Sight, a global fundraising initiative that specifically addresses this issue in developing countries. They are the only organization to do so since most people overlook the significant need for eye exams and a pair of glasses. Optometry Giving Sight funds programs that deliver desperately needed vision care in developing communities, train local eye care professionals and develop infrastructure with the help of donations. And as an eyewear company, we recognize the importance of glasses not just as an accessory, but as an essential tool to sharpening our most valuable sense. Because no child should be deprived of seeing the world in its fullest perspective.
For every pair of glasses you purchase through Dharma, 5% of that goes to Optometry Giving Sight. So every time you wear your new glasses, just know that you protected a child's quality-of-life and future livelihood from potential blindness and vision impairment.
