Summer Shades
The long-awaited season of poolside chilling and frequent road-tripping has arrived. Nothing feels better than basking in the warm sun--in your shades, of course--while sipping on homemade sweet lemonade. While we adore soaking in the warmth, the sun can still be a deceiving enemy. We all know the harsh UV rays cause damage to our skin such as severe sunburning and skin cancer, but they also cause serious damage to our eyes as well without the proper protection. Good thing sunglasses were invented (even better thing stylish sunglasses were created). You might not be aware, but some of the risks of not wearing sunglasses include cataracts, macular degeneration, photokeratitis, and other big medical terms that essentially mean causing temporary vision loss if one is not careful. Crazy, huh? And to think indulging in our favorite outdoor activities would haul in such physical detriments...so long story short, it's better to take precautions now while you're enjoying the sunny days of summer before causing any long-term harm to your eyes.
